Delirium

performance
18—23.05.2025

Ever since her first creation, Miet Warlop has secretly been working on what she calls 'the skull of the subconscious', a place where your greatest fears and desires converge. This culmination is named 'Delirium', a word deliberately chosen for what by definition escapes the tangible. A state of confusion, a dream, a journey.

Describing Miet's work reveals secrets that words can hardly capture. Wonder and fun drag you into a wave. It seems as if that round cavity takes on the contours of Warlop's skull within which the imagination infects a whole group around her, the imagination becomes collective and thus touches our imagination. — Jeroen Olyslaegers

Miet Warlop (born in 1978) (she/her) is a student of fine arts at KASK (Ghent). She gradually explores the more performative aspect of her work. Over time, she will then create performances for the theatre, alongside interventions in galleries, concert halls and museums.  Characteristic of her energetic work is making the static dynamic and the dynamic static again. She approaches art as an experience, think ritual concerts or choreographic objects. She prefers to work in cycles rather than on a project-by-project basis and believes in the attitude that comes with an idea. This mix of art forms garnered her international acclaim. Warlop's award-winning show One Song has toured around the world since 2022.
